Choosing the right gym management software is a big decision — but with MAAT, getting started is refreshingly simple. Whether you're switching from another system or managing your academy manually, the MAAT onboarding process is built to get you fully operational with minimal effort and zero confusion.
Here’s exactly what happens once you decide to join MAAT.
Step 1: Book a Demo & Get Clarity
The journey begins with a free demo. A MAAT team member will walk you through the platform’s core features like attendance tracking, belt progression, integrated payments, and class scheduling. It’s a personalized walkthrough designed to show how MAAT can help your specific academy. You’ll also get answers to any questions or concerns.
If you're currently using another solution — whether it's a Direct Debit Collector or a full gym management software — a migration may be necessary. MAAT handles this entire migration for free, making the switch seamless. Learn more about how MAAT handles migrations.

Step 2: Share Your Logo, Timetable & Create a Stripe Account
After the demo, MAAT will request two essential things:
Your gym logo
Your class timetable
Next, if you don't already have one, you’ll be asked to create a Stripe account for payments. This takes less than 5 minutes, and MAAT provides step-by-step guidance. Once your account is created, a Connect link is generated for you to link your Stripe to MAAT.
MAAT will then check that your Stripe account is complete.
Step 3: MAAT Builds Your Gym Profile
With the logo, timetable, and Stripe connected, the MAAT team sets up your academy in the app:
Logo, address, timezone, and currency
Class schedule
Membership payment infrastructure via Stripe
This step is fully handled by MAAT, so you can relax while your system is set up.
Step 4: Add Memberships & Join the Platform
MAAT will ask for your membership plans and whether you want to pass the transaction fees to your students. Once confirmed, these are added to your gym profile.
You’ll then receive an invite to join MAAT and upon logging in, you’ll receive:
Admin access
Ownership of your gym profile
Marked as an active user
Step 5: Waivers & Payment Settings
If you have a student waiver, it will be uploaded by MAAT. If not, no problem, it can be added later.
If you plan to accept SEPA, BACS or iDeal payments, MAAT helps activate those both on your Stripe and inside the MAAT app.
Step 6: Try MAAT for Yourself
At this point, you’ll be able to explore the platform and see if it’s the right fit for your academy.
The free trial is commitment-free and doesn’t lock you in. You get full access to test features, manage classes, and evaluate how MAAT fits your day-to-day operations.
Once the trial ends, you can then decide whether to continue with either the monthly or annual plan — whatever works best for you.
Step 7: Support & Feedback During Trial
Once your trial starts, you’re fully supported:
15-minute support response via WhatsApp
Direct feedback to ensure everything is working as expected and to help resolve any issues with using MAAT’s features
MAAT stays in touch to make sure you’re getting the most out of the platform.
Step 8: You're In
If you're happy with MAAT at the end of your trial, you’ll transition seamlessly into a fully active academy on the platform. Your account setup remains intact, and you’re officially part of the MAAT community.
